Engaging posts are those that have a strong headline, interesting content, and an inviting call-to-action. Some pointers / tips that I follow while creating engaging blog posts include:
1. Choose a subject you’re passionate about. Passionate writers create more engaging posts.
2. Write for your audience. Before you start writing, think about who you’re writing for and what they’d like to learn.
3. Use visuals. Include compelling images and videos to break up the text and make your content more interesting.
4. Use storytelling. Tell a story that’s relevant to your topic to draw readers in and keep them engaged.
5. Keep it concise. Long, rambling blog posts are less likely to be read in their entirety.
6. Incorporate data. Include relevant statistics or research to back up your points and give your post more credibility.
7. Ask questions. Ask thought-provoking questions throughout your post to get readers thinking and encourage them to leave comments.
8. Link to other posts. Link to other relevant posts from your blog or other websites to provide additional information or to direct readers to other related content.
9. Invite feedback. Encourage readers to leave comments or ask questions to help create a dialogue.
10. Include a call-to-action. Ask readers to subscribe to your blog or share your post with their networks to help spread the word.
The above are aspects that I keep in mind while creating my posts and there can be other pointers too but mostly above are the major one’s. It also depends on what one wants to post and which media they want to choose. Depending on the social media chosen the engagement can vary based on other key factors as readers, viewer, member’s age, etc. and hence an optimal engagement platform or strategy is required to be planned keeping in mind the above pointers.
